CLEARWATER, Fla. — The rumble of thousands of motorcycles filled the streets of Clearwater on Sunday morning as riders from across the region came together for the Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson 9th Annual Christmas Toy Run. While this year’s event included an exciting attempt to break the world record for the largest motorcycle toy run, the true purpose was much deeper: supporting children and families in need during the holiday season.

What began as a motorcycle rally has evolved into one of the area’s most impactful holiday traditions—collecting thousands of toys and raising vital funds for local veterans, first responders, and families facing hardship. The community spirit was unmistakable as riders arrived with toys of every kind, eager to give back. For Our Town America, a proud sponsor of this year’s event, the Toy Run represents far more than a single day of giving. It reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to strengthening communities through generosity, connection, and local support. OTA showed up both financially and physically, with two team members—Jim Pouba and Robert Parham—participating as bike riders to help deliver toys and spread holiday cheer along the route.
Our Town America’s Philanthropic Values on Display
While the world-record attempt added excitement, Pouba emphasized the heart behind the event.
“Every year I kept looking at the event thinking, ‘We’ve got to be involved,’” he said. “But when I saw they were trying to break the record—with all those toys going to kids who need them—I knew this was the one we had to support.”
Our Town America’s involvement aligns directly with its mission: creating stronger, more connected communities. As the nation’s longest-running new mover marketing program, OTA has always embraced philanthropy as a core part of its identity—from supporting national causes to uplifting community-based initiatives.
More Than Marketing — A Commitment to Community
For over 50 years, Our Town America has helped local businesses welcome new residents through genuine connection. That same purpose fuels the company’s support for charitable efforts—holiday toy drives, nonprofit partnerships, veterans’ initiatives, and community-focused events like the Toy Run.
OTA participates not just as a marketing company, but as a neighbor.
A Meaningful Impact
Although the world record was narrowly missed, the event was an overwhelming success:
- More than 2,000 toys collected for local children
- Over $17,000 raised for veterans, first responders, and hurricane relief
- 1,689 riders—just 49 short of the world record
Thanks to riders, volunteers, organizers, sponsors like Our Town America, and media partners who amplified the mission, countless families will have a brighter holiday season.
