At Our Town America, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to create memorable first impressions for new movers. This July, we proudly celebrated America’s 250th anniversary with a limited-edition Welcome Package envelope designed to commemorate this historic milestone.
Featuring a patriotic design inspired by America 250, the special edition envelope helped make every Welcome Package feel even more memorable as it arrived in the hands of families beginning a new chapter in their lives.
A Celebration That Engaged New Movers
To mark the occasion, new movers were invited to participate in a $250 giveaway by sharing a photo of their favorite Welcome Certificate from their Welcome Package.
The response was incredible, with new movers from across the country sharing photos of their favorite Welcome Certificates and the local businesses they discovered through the Welcome Package.
The campaign highlighted something we’ve always believed: when businesses welcome new residents, they’re doing more than promoting an offer—they’re helping families feel connected to their new community.
Creating Memorable First Impressions
For more than 54 years, Our Town America has helped local businesses introduce themselves to verified new movers at one of the most important moments in their customer journey.
Special initiatives like our America 250 envelope help increase excitement around the Welcome Package while reinforcing the value of making a great first impression.
Whether it’s a neighborhood restaurant, grocery store, fitness center, dentist, or home service provider, every participating advertiser has the opportunity to become one of the first businesses a new resident discovers.
Thank You for Celebrating with Us
We’d like to thank everyone who participated in our America 250 celebration and shared their photos. Your enthusiasm made this campaign a tremendous success and reminded us why welcoming new movers has been our mission for more than five decades.
Here’s to celebrating America’s history—and to helping new families feel at home in communities across the country.
